Background
I am originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, however, I grew up in the North Island and decided to come to Christchurch for my university studies. I have completed a double degree and master's at Canterbury and have undertaken several student exchanges to Canada, Korea and Singapore. I chose to study at the NCRE because it provides me with an opportunity to merge my interests in science and policy as well as attend the numerous seminar it hosts.
Current Research
In the coming decades of the 21st century, Europe will face increased water scarcity and droughts as more areas are adversely affected by changes in the hydrological cycle and spatial and temporal distribution of pricipitation. Climate change is likely to increas the impacts of water scarcity and lead to more frequent and severe droughts in Europe. My studies assess the response of urban centres in Europe to the challenges of water resources management.
