Background
Mathew Doidge produced the first PhD dissertation from the National Centre for Research on Europe – an investigation of the nascent processes of interregionalism and transregionalism within the context of EU-ASEAN Relations.
Over the last five years he has led an extremely nomadic existence, conducting research based at institutions in New Zealand, Indonesia, Germany and the United Kingdom.
He has taught a range of courses relating to European Union external relations.
He is the author of pieces on interregionalism, and on the EU-ASEAN relationship, and is currently exploring the concept of developmental regionalism, and the relationship of the European Union with the Pacific Island states.
